The Ferfydden Church is the Ddafaeg name for a movement that tied together a number of strands of thought emerging at around the same time in the northwest. Namely, that as more and more people were able to participate in civil society, so too should they be able to participate in religion. In contrast to the Old Ways that preceded it, the Ferfydden Church took the Gods out of the wilderness and invited them into the cities, and into people's homes. While the gods are still to be feared, they are to be feared as stern parents, rather than wild animals.
